**Position Summary:**
Assures highest possible level of guest satisfaction by preparing, serving and maintaining breakfast for the guests of the property. Offers excellent Customer Service. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Report to work on time, in uniform, with name badge. Uniform and personal appearance is kept clean and professional.
* Promotes positive guest relations by greeting guests in a pleasant and courteous manner; provides guests with information regarding local attractions and venues
* Follow and adhere to all SWHM policies and procedures. Handle all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules and standards.
* Must be reliable to work weekends and holidays.
* Get a daily briefing about extraordinary events to effectively handle all foreseen situations on a daily basis.
* Greet, smile and be attentive to the guest needs.
* Provide a clean, sanitary and inviting hotel and kitchen for the guest.
* Turn in Lost and Found items immediately to management.
* Maintain a Food Handlers Certificate (varies by state).
* Prepare and display breakfast items in a timely manner.
* Restock and replenish food items as needed.
* Receives and responds to guest comments and suggestions and passes these to the property management. Strive to be a Customer Service Champion at all times.
* Reports maintenance deficiencies on work orders to General Manager.
* Provides assistance to other employees in a team spirit to contribute to the smooth operation of the department and hotel.
* Completes tasks assigned by supervisors as needed.
* Adhere to timing standards.
* Vacuum and spot clean breakfast area as needed during business hours.
* Ensure proper food handling techniques and procedures at all times.
* Follow the kitchen training standards for all kitchen duties.
* Bus and clean tables as needed.
* Attends scheduled meetings and necessary training sessions as requested.
* Understands the emergency procedures for the entire hotel.
* Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
* Advises property management on safety improvements, reports accidents and hazards as necessary.
**Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:**
* Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, to stand, walk, walk up and down stairs while carrying objects.
* Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. and carry up to 35 lbs.
* Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned tasks.
* Must be able to operate equipment as needed and required by position.
* Must be able to adjust to changing priorities and simultaneously complete multiple assignments despite interruptions.
**Skills, Educational Background, Experience and Basic Expectations:**
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* A team player, yet able to work independently.
* Previous hotel-related experience is beneficial.
