**Job Description:**

**GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:**

Conduct the daily responsibilites of purchasing parts for Bill of Materials and supplies for manufacturing. Must have a working knowledge of ERP systems as used to obtain current Requirements for open orders.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Main responsibility is the transfer Bill Of Materials to sales orders, Place orders and conduct follow up calls to ensure OTD,

* Keep track of ERP reports on Purchase Orders and Vendors and taking corrective action when problems arise.

* Responsibilities may overlap with other positions within the supply chain Department to ensure all duties are covered in the event of anyones absence. Could include Raw Material or Outsourcing of machine shop product or services as required.

* May lead, guide and train employees and/or interns performing related work; may participate in the recruitment,

* Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

The purchasing department would report to this individual

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

**Education and Experience:**

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one year related training; plus 3 to 5 years relates experience.

**Language Skills:**

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

**Math Skills:**

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

**Reasoning Ability:**

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

**Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:**

Certificate for the Successful Completions of AES Compliance Conference (Training for international shipping from the US Census Bureau)

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**

Will spend minimal time standing walking, using hands to handle, and feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing, balancing, stooping, and kneeling. Some time is spent sitting. Lots of time is spent talking or hearing. Minimal time is spent lifting weight between 25 and 100 lbs. Some time is spent lifting weight up to 25 pounds and lots of time is spent lifting weight up to 10 pounds.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT:**

Can be loud (Noise from the machine shop and manufacturing area and compressed air).
